Some days begin with worship music, a gentle breeze, and the quiet beauty of a lavender field.
Other days include bee stings, sticky floors, broken glass, grandchildren, and lunch that doesn’t happen until an hour and a half later.
Sometimes…they’re the same day.
In this episode, I share how a peaceful morning harvesting lavender led me to pray for a young mother carrying an incredibly heavy load. As I prayed, one phrase kept coming to mind:
Pockets of Peace.
Only hours later, my own peaceful morning was interrupted by the beautiful chaos of family life. Yet something surprised me.
The interruptions were real…
but so was God’s peace.
Jesus never promised us lives without interruptions. He promised His presence in the middle of them.
My prayer is that this episode encourages you to stop waiting for life to become quiet before believing you can experience peace.
Instead, may you discover the little pockets of peace God lovingly places throughout your ordinary days.
Scripture
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” — John 14:27
Reflection
Where has God given you a pocket of peace recently?
Was it during your morning coffee?
A walk outside?
A quiet prayer?
A conversation with a friend?
Take a moment today to thank Him for those small reminders that He is with you.
A Note from Lisa
Here at Salt & Light, my prayer has always been that whether someone visits the farm, opens one of our gift boxes, or listens to this podcast, they leave feeling like they’ve experienced a little breath of fresh air—not because of lavender, but because they’ve been reminded of the One who is our peace.
