Hi there! We would love for you to meet our family!
We are so happy that you stopped by!

Our story started over 33 years ago when we committed to a lifetime together at the young ages of 20 and 22.

Three years later we built our home and have lived there for over 30 years in the same community that we both grew up in.

Fast forward many years, we’ve lived life to the fullest, with 2 kids, over 50 animals through the years, home schooling, work and home businesses.

We raised our children to love and appreciate the country life. They cared for horses, dogs, cats, goats and bunnies. They rode, dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, tri-rods, tractors and snowmobiles.

In the winter you would find us on the ski slopes and in the summer at our lake house on our ski boat.

We have added 4 new additions to our family beginning in 2017. A son-in-law (2017), a daughter-in-law (2019) and three beautiful granddaughters (2018, 2020, 2022).

Meet our family…Get to know us better…

Meet Lisa Hartzler

As you read this, I am probably wearing jeans and am most likely barefoot and in my lavender field (in summer, of course).

People would probably think that I’m an extrovert, but I’m actually an ambivert.

We have crazy large families – our siblings and nieces and nephews combined equals 83 of us! (Yep, you read that right!)

I am a DIY kinda gal. I love making and creating.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for 25 years!

Being a Mammy (Grandma) is my favorite gig ever!

Meet Bob Hartzler

As you read this, Bob is probably drinking coffee and is quietly listening to the conversation.

He has been in machine maintenance for over 30 years and I’m often amazed on all that he can do.

He loves working with his hands and I think he can fix or build anything. Unfortunately, this is why I never get anything new. He’s even fixed the microwave that we’ve had since 1989. Who keeps a microwave for 33 years?

Bob has a dream of retiring from his real job and starting his own business, which of course will be building or making something. I can’t wait to see what he does!

Meet the Jeremy, Shelby, Haven, Halle & Harbor Busman

Shelby is our first-born. We knew from the very start she would do something great because she was full of life, intense and a bit strong-willed.

It makes sense that she became a fire-fighter and an EMT. She serves/volunteers for our community now that she is a mommy of three sweet little girls.

If Shelby isn’t saving the world or keeping her tiny humans alive, she is helping me make products for the lavender boxes.

Jeremy is her husband who moved here from Michigan. He had no choice, if he wanted to marry her, because on one of their first dates, she boldly told him, “Well, I’ll tell you right now, I’m not moving to Michigan!”

Their relationship grew quickly…since that’s how Shelby lives life…fast and furious!

They met in March of 2016, he moved here by that September, proposed in October and they married July 1, 2017. Had Haven July 15, 2018, Halle February 1, 2020, and Harbor May 17, 2022. It’s definitely been a whirlwind.

Jeremy’s background is in lawn care and landscaping but now he has found his niche in heating and cooling.

Jeremy is totally outnumbered with 6 females, since they also have a female dog and cat.

Haven is 4 and looks just like her mommy. She’s funny, loves to learn, and picks up on things really fast.

Halle is 2.5 and has an ornery streak to her personality.

Harbor is 4 months and is the happiest and sweetest baby!

Meet Nate & Hope Hartzler and their GoldenDoodle, Hank

Nate is our second born, just 22 months after Shelby.

Nate is calm, cool and collected and has always been our thinker. Once when he was about six years old, he was sitting on the recliner, doing nothing. I asked him what he was thinking about and he said, “I’m thinking about how I can make alot of money without doing anything”.

In all actuality, he is a very hard worker and mechanically minded like his dad (and both grandpas too).

He is very talented and has done alot of home projects without much assistance.

Nate works in hydraulics for his day job. I’ve encouraged him to let me know when he figures out how to make alot of money without doing anything.

This is his wife, Hope and they married July 20, 2019.

Hope is an over-achiever for sure and does everything to perfection.

She became a dental hygienist, graduating in May of 2019 and at the same time planning their wedding for that July.

She works hard at everything she does and they make a great couple. We are grateful for the amazing wife she is to Nate and we are thankful for another daughter in our family.

And then there is Hank.

He is super sweet and a bit ornery too!

You can follow Hank on Instagram @ the_hartzler_dood. He’s one cool DOOD!
